Just a few Christmas pics I thought I would share.

I hope everyone is still on track with their weight loss goals. I thought I would include a favorite leg workout for me and one I give my clients. My Challenge girls just received it!!! and many of my other clients have also done this one-including myself.

Legs -
4x20 Standing Dips (put 1 leg on a chair or bench and squat down LOW SS
4x15 Walking Lunges TS
4x20 Ins and Outs on toes about the width of a large tile on your floor

4x15 Diagonal Lunges SS
4x15 Alternating Dumbbell Step ups

4x20 Pop Squats SS
4x10 Side to Side Skip Squats TS
4x20 Straight Leg Deadlift

4x15 Jump Lunges SS
4x20 Walking Pump Lunges TS

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
I can't believe it's been over a month since I have blogged. I am getting better at facebook though.
I am in the middle of my 12 week challenge. My girls are doing great. They are realizing that everyone has issues and everyone deals with them differently. No one lives a perfect life-just make do with what you have and what you have time for.
I hope you all had a great time at all your parties etc that you have already have. We celebrated my Grandma's 87th birthday-I hope I live that long! We went to our annual horse parade and even had breakfast with Santa. The girls had a blast. We even took Grandma to have breakfast and to watch the parade.
Rozalee remembered her parts in the church program but didn't sing a bit in her school program. Izabella did great in both of hers. Alizabeth played baby Jesus in the church program and just laughed and cooded the entire time she was in the manger.
Kenny is back to work finally and his leg is healing slowly. He got back in the skid steer for the first time and it blew a hydraulic line. It's a sign for him to stay off that thing:)
Kenny and I headed to a farm auction on Thanksgiving and bought a few cows to add to the herd. The sale was all over a family feud. The father passed and the kids were fighting over who got what. I bet he rolled over in his grave when he saw them auction off all of his years of hard work. Why is it when someone passes all hell breaks loose? I hope this doesn't happen in your family. It was sad to watch them auction everything off.
Be thankful for what you have and don't worry about what you don't-this is my motto. I just wasn't raised that way.

Hello November and HELLO SHOPPING

Well I just started my 3rd 12 week Challenge for the year. This is the biggest one yet:) I'm so excited to see some transformations in 12 weeks.

I also have a client hitting the stage today that looks unbelievable. She had a guy/trainer try to "mess w/ her" and she's going to show him what she's made of today. Funny how trainers try to do this (not all trainers) but quite a few, just so you will train w/ them. Everyone seems to know something better than someone else. I love it when they don't even look like a trainer or a competitor. If you've never competed then don't try to pretend you know what it's like to compete.

Well I also opened the Bear Necessity Store with a web-site coming and new "stuff" coming in weekly. I just have it up on facebook so spread the word. I will ship anywhere and will also combine shipping charges. I LOVE BLING and that's what I have Bling and Crosses. Without the "Big Man" upstairs I wouldn't be able to do what I love to do. Hope you don't eat tooo much Halloween Candy and have a great weekend. The girls had a great Halloween plus we went on a hayride (chilly evening) and we had front row on the ice tickets to Disney On Ice. Goofy came out and talked to the girls-too much fun. I lucked out on those tickets.

Well Halloween is almost here. It's been forever since I have blogged. I have a hard enough time w/ facebook:)

Both of the girls are loving school. Rozalee is going to be a comedian when she grows up. I have already determined that by her stories she comes up with. I never know what she is going to do or say. She can make anyone laugh.

Well I was supposed to be attending the World Clydesdale Show this weekend BUT Kenny broke his leg, so now I have 4 kids to take care of. He's being a good patient and the girls are really helping out. Izabella is my right hand!!! She is really growing up fast. She cried when we told her we wern't going and then she said as long as we can watch a movie w/ daddy adn eat popcorn-I'll be alright. OF course we did that Friday night. We are all just bummed about the trip. We have been planing on it since December last year. It only comes to the states every 5 years. Everything happens for a reason-we don't always know why but it does. You can bet we'll be showing in teh next one.

I am also starting something I have been thinking about or awhile now-my own store.

It's going back to my country days. You will never take the country out of Heather Bear. I'll keep you posted on the items as soon as I receive them. I'm so excited. I am not going to charge and arm and a leg either-I knwo people want bling and I know people don't have the money right now BUT they have to have their BLING.

This is what I hate about summer-it ENDS. I know it's over when we put the pool cover on. I hate looking at that thing. I am glad that I'm not watering flowers everyday and having to worry if the creek is flowing for the cows. Our horses are high maintence and only drink fresh water:)

There are a few of us doing the Breast Cancer walk tomorrow in Cincinnati. I haven't done it since 2004 in honor or my friend Rhoda who lost her battle and my friend Amanda-WHICH IS A SURVIVOR. I will be walking for my friend Tina and also in honor of my aunt who lost her battle in 08. It's amazing that almost EVERYONE you talk too knows someone that has or has had this ulgy disease. I know they have a cure for it but the government is making too much money on it-which is even ulglier!!!!-I don't even think that's a word but it is in my mind.

I will be doing another on-line challenge this Fall-email me for details.

I am currently helping 3 young girls and I know I can make changes to their future. It's amazing what a few small changes to your diet will do for you. I have not given these girls diets just the right & wrongs of their "food". I hope eveyone is still achieving their goals and training hard. YOU CAN DO IT.

I have attached a few pics of the girls and Rozalee's first day of pre-school. That school don't know what hit em'. She's going to be a comedian when she grows up-never know what she is going to do or say. Izabella is a big girl now in 1st grade. Alizabeth is now 3 months old and growing by the minute.

The 2 top winners prove that age is just a number. I tried loading them onto my blog but or some reason I can't:( I have better luck w/ this blog than I do with facebook-which is scary! LOL

You are all probably getting ready for school to start. My girls are so excited to get new lunch boxes, backpacks and school supplies. I can remember how exciting it was for the first day of school. Now that the kids are back in school everyone needs to take time for themselves-all you need is 1 hour a day. YOU CAN DO IT.

I wanted ot share a few pics. We didn't get to go on a vacation this summer since Alizabeth was a newborn but we had family from out of town visit us-which was a blast. My grandma finally got to give Titus his apple. I had to bring him on the porch but it was well worth it. Sometimes we have to go out of our way to make people happy but the rewards are great. It's also the same for going to the gym. The rewards and hard work pay off.

This is the best cake ever given to me by a DEAR FRIEND/Client Joyce. It's made of diapers and Lord knows all babies need them.

I will be posting the winner of my 12 week challenge next week:) I'm excited to see all the before/after pictures.

I also have a client competing tomorrow in Arizona. She is in Master's and open figure. Best of all she's a MOM and is going to show ladies that you can be a mom and step onstage-it's all about going after your goals.

Well it's hotter than HOT here in Indiana. The girls are loving the pool this summer. Alizabeth is growing-finally out of preemie clothes. I can't believe school starts in less than a month-where does the time go?

I hope you are all staying cool and working out even during these hot summer days. I took a day off this week to go to a concert so I'll be making up that workout today:) Never make excuses just get it done!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. We are having Rozalee's 3rd birthday party, going to a few parades and of course fireworks. Alizabeth is doing great and so is all of the other Bears! Izabella is almost done w/ softball-thank God. I know a few parenets that get burnt out w/ sports in the summer. My ladies are doing great in their 12 week challenge, I can't wait to post the winner. I know it's hard to stick w/ a program in the summer but as long as you do the best you can do that's what matters most.

Hey just because you are dieting during the weekend holiday doesn't mean you can't have fun w/ family and friends. Trust me I will be eating and enjoying myself but I will also be up kicking my own butt in cardio and weights next week. It's all about achieveing your goals-some have bigger goals than others but we are all human. Make sure that you put your family first and dieting second. Just watch your portions this weekend-eat a little but don't over due it. Drink a glass of water in between your beer/wine. It always helps to eat before going to a party. I often drink a shake on the way so I am not as tempted to eat all the "fun food".

Well I'm off to train legs-have a great weekend and remember ENJOY YOURSELF. Also thank you to everyone that has sent cards/emails Congratulating us on Alizabeth Ellen.

Well she arrived Friday 6-10-2011

She was my biggest yet at 6lbs 10 oz.

She's a great baby and hasn't even cried yet (except when they gave her a bath and took her blood). We are all doing great. I have two great helpers. They are always there at diaper changes, shaking bottles, getting clothes, blankets etc. Rozalee gets up in the middle of the night when she hears me feed her-too cute. I just hope they still like each other in about 5-7 yrs. LOL

Now it's time to get back in shape. I gained 18 pounds again and ready to hit the treadmill in the a.m. and train legs on Friday w/ a good friend from high school. Email me if you have pregnancy quesitons and training/eating clean etc. I'd love to help ya.

May is here and so is the RAIN

Wow, the first of MAY already. Softball is underway (when they can practice due to rain), calves are still being born, horses are SO muddy but we are very healthy and happy that we only received rain and not the tornadoes that a few of my clients received. We have been praying for those of you that did get hit w/ those storms. Kenny and I attended the Clydesdale National Sale and saw a little bit of the damages-unbelievable and very scary.

I have started another 12 week challenge w/ another group of very motivated and determined women. I will be holding a "REAL DEAL" 3 hour workouts, bootcamp, nutrition seminar at the Aurora Elementary w/ Gina Hall. Let me know if you are interested.

I hope you all had a great Easter and HAPPY MOTHER'S Day to all of the MOMS out there. If you have pets that counts too:) There is nothing better than being a mom-I LOVE IT. It makes my day when the girls say I love you mom or just come give you a hug and kiss-there is nothing like it. Make sure you give your mom a hug and kiss even if you are "older":)

Spring has Sprung!!! Finally

It's been a busy April here in Indiana on the Bear Farm.

First off, I want to congratulate Tracy for winning my 12 week online challenge. She lost 17 pounds and 20.5 inches. All of my ladies did a great job. Congratulations to each of them. I have pictures of Tracy on my site-it won't let me load them to blogger?

Izabella has started softball already w/ her little sister wanting to play also. I can't believe it's time for softball, t-ball seems alot safer! She had a great birthday w/ a HUGE sleepover. We also went to the Kentucky Horse Park - which was really cool. She even lost her first tooth-she's growing up too fast. This past weekend we went to the Shriners Circus-a MUST if they come to your city. It's a great cause and great fun for the kids. It was much better than Ringley Brothers-not sure I spelled that correct?

We have started to have baby calves on the farm. My dad always said when calving becomes "not" exciting it's time to move on. Well we are so excited to see the babies in the field. I don't know how it could never be "NOT" exciting. Both Clydesdales have received their "Spring Cleaning". It took Kenny and I about 1 hour per horse to bath. My stallion went right back out there and rolled as soon as he could-he loves mud. They sure do look pretty on that green grass. IT's nice to finally sit and watch all the birds in our feeders. You can tell it's getting warmer here.

March is Almost OVER

Where does the time go, we all often as ourselves this question.

Izabella will be 6 on Friday. I can't believe it-seems like I was 78 pounds overweight just the other day. We are having a sleep over again on Friday with a campfire, grill-out and Clydesdale rides-not exactly pony rides:) Rozalee will be starting pre-school in August-man time flies.

I am hoping that all of you are still sticking to your goals. We all have things, parties, family issues, games etc that come into our schedule but you have to learn how to work around them. I have been telling a few clients this week that you just have to do the best you can w/ the time you have. Make sure you have all of your food prepared ahead of time, if you are really slammed do some of your weights w/ your cardio. Don't let a bad day ruin your entire week. We are human and we all run into "issues".

I will be announcing my 12 week challenge winner next week. I am so excited for these ladies. They all need to be very happy w/ their success. I have a current online client that has totally surprised me and herself. I will be posting her pics as soon as she is finished w/ her 12 weeks.

All of my clients are "normal" ladies that work, have husbands, kids, games etc-they seem to find the time, so can you. Let me know if you need any help-I love motivating and helping others.

The snow has finally melted!!!

This past weekend was the final good-bye to our SNOW:) Thank God. We had to buy another bird feeder cause the poor birds are starving in this snow. It's finally all out of my drive way. These 60 & 70 degree days are going to spoil us. I'd rather have this mud and rain any day.

Now that the weather is nice I am ready to get outside w/ my jogging stroller and Rozalee. I'm getting a little sick of doing cardio on a machine-even though I can get VERY creative!!! Just let me know if you are needing new ideas for cardio. It seems everyone was in a rut w/ this nasty winter. Most of my clients that those unmotivated days, even myself. I sure did enough baking on those snow days w/ the girls. I made them cupcakes then made myself Parrillo Protein cupcakes w/ frosting so I wouldn't put on my winter layer! What a crazy winter it was.

I did do alot of experimenting w/ new healthy recipes. It's amazing what I can come up with-I surprise myself sometimes:) LOL

I really don't have alot of anything new going on. We have 2 Clydesdales along w/ the cattle that are keeping all of us busy. Both girls are still in gymnastics. I have girls in my transformation challenge that are surprising me-I can't believe how well they have done. I'll be posting the winner in 4 weeks. Weekend Workout Camp in Stettler

Where do I start?

I have been meaning to write this for 2 weeks-but every time I start to do it I get side tracked. I had Parrillo Certification last weekend and never got around to it.

Anyways-WOW to Tara & Mike

Who gets to go to Canada and never have to get out in the cold except to get on/off the plane? Me-Not only did I get a message daily but also had amazing home cooked meals everyday-allday. We even had lunch catered on Saturday. I felt like a princess being in a home that had a full day-spa, gym, racquet ball court and so much more. The bed I slept in was more comfy than my own. I could never repay Tara & Mike for all they have done for me. I greatly appreciate it. I know all the girls loved/hated me at some point:) They all made a special place in my heart. I am very happy with how they all pushed through the pain. They all learned how to stretch, eat and train. Did I mention how they loved the cardio in the raquet ball room!

I hope everyone had a great New Year's. We did!! Kenny & I took the girls out to dinner w/ another couple and their 2 girls. We came home and watched movies, made blizzards (Santa brought us a Blizzard maker) played games, ate more food, had the cousins over and at 12:00 my house was so loud w/ those blower things-my head rand for hours!!!

That's what it's about though-letting the kids have fun!! That they did.

My 12 week challenge is doing great-I've very impressed w/ the competition. I hope they stay this motivated:)

My Workout Weekend in Brookville was GREAT. We had the gym to ourselves on Sunday and that made legs even more fun. I may have a few ladies that HATE me today but-they will love me later. I know a few motivated me. Keep it up ladies.

I hope you are keeping up w/ your NEW YEARS GOALS.

I hope you had a MERRY CHRISTMAS we did, it was a little nuts. Why do they have to make 2yr old toys that hook-up to your computer and WHY do we pay the China people to package the 1000 pieces that go to a toy in 100 twisty ties? It takes longer get the toy out of the box than it does to actually go to work to pay for the toy!!! Kenny was about to pull his hair out w/ some of these baby doll pieces.

If there is anyone else that wants to get in my 12 week challenge email me ASAP or call me.

I can't believe I went from putting on sun-block 1 day to a snow suit the next:) How's that happen? Good ole' Indiana weather.

We went on the best vacation ever-4 generation Disney Cruise then came home to put on our snow suits and go to a Horse Christmas Parade:)

We took my mom and 86 yr old Grandma on a Disney Cruise and let me tell ya, I'll never go back to Disney after that. No lines to see the characters, no lines to eat, the wonderful food 24 hours a day, the sun, the Disney Beach, the pools, the waiters, the seafood, the BOAT-everything was amazing and so much cheaper than Disney. I couldn't believe how the characters interacted w/ the childen all week. Izabella had a club that was all her age, they made cookies, learned to dance w/ Snow White, the Mickey Slide, the things for Rozalee to do, the adults only floor to watch football, bingo for Grandma-you name it they had it. I still am in ahhhh about the trip.

We had so much FUN-our view was beautiful. The veranda was perfect and the towel animals were too cute. I need to be a Disney Cruise sales person!!! I can't speak highly enough about it.

Did I mention all the girls including my Grandma got their hair braided in the Bahamas!!! Izabella & Rozalee still have theirs in today.

What was bad was coming home to a snow storm. I love the snow but I hate driving in it. We went to our annual Lebanon Christmas Horse parade on Saturday. It was very pretty w/ the snow and the sleds decorated w/ the horses. I love this holiday season. We put up our tree last night as we watched the Colts lose. I thought Kenny was going to climb into the TV and throw the ball for Peyton. I'm finishing decorating today. Santa will be here Saturday so I'll have some pics to post then too. I think he has a surpise for everyone this year?????

I'm SO SO proud of her. She looked even better than at the Monster Mash. She placed 4th at the Kentucky Muscle which is a HUGE show. She placed 4th in the figure A class.

Someone once told her she needed to take drugs to get on stage-MAN did I prove that trainer WRONG. You do not need drugs to compete just a good trainer that can give you proper advice about eating enough food and training HARD.

Way to go. If you are looking to compete in 2011 or have a goal you need to achieve-let me know. That's what I do best.

Nicole is the lady I was telling you about earlier. She has a great story-like most women BUT she made time for herself to compete. She had a goal and went after it. She placed 2nd in Figure Novice out of 13 and 2nd in her figure class which had 10 girls in it. I was so proud of her, I was so nervous, you would of thought that it was me up there. She is going to compete again in a few weeks.

I hope you all had a great Halloween. My Minnie Mouses sure did!!!!! We have enough candy to last us till next years Halloween. Izabella wants to wear her outfit when we go on our Disney Cruise. Hey, if anyone has done a Disney Cruise let me know. The entire family on my side is going and I want to know if there is something I should or shouldn't do. We are so excited. I've never been in a cruise before!!!

Also let me know if you are interested in the Brookville Workout Weekend at teh new gym. It's Jan 8-9. My friend Beth is already teaching classes there so it should be a great weekend.

It will be similar to the one her and Joyce Rogers did last year. I will be teaching more than legs this year though!!!! I know all the ladies loved the leg workout!!!!

Halloween right around the corner

Why can't my girls decide what they want to be for Halloween??? Izabella changes her mind every couple days. I guess she is like most of us females-we can't decide if we want to go to the gym, sleep in a few extra minutes, eat clean or go to a fast food place, take a family walk or just sit on the couch-sound familiar?
It's time to make up your mind and make TIME for you-only 1 hour 5x a week is all you need-any could even do a little less if you wanted to be a little more intense in a shorter amount of time.

I want to sent a HUGE CONGRAULATIONS to Joyce-my very first client and she's the reason I became a personal trainer. Joyce is in this months Oxygen mag Special Edition. She has had a huge transformation. You'll have to pick ya up a magazine and she how she can motivate you. WAY TO GO-so proud of her.

I have another motivational client-Nicole. She'll be competing in her first show at the Monster Mash. She is kicking butt making huge changes to her body. I can't wait to see her on stage. She's a single mom, just started a new job (she's been traveling for 3 weeks for training) has a house and a 2 yr old to care for and STILL gets in her cardio, weights and STICKS TO HER DIET. It can be done:) I'm very excited to see her on stage. I saw her in her suit last night and she looks amazing.

We all have stress, work issues, family issues, kid issues, school issues and the list can go on and on. The difference is who can work through those issues and still make time for themselves-only 1 to 1 1/2 hours a day 5 x a week? You can't control your issues-only GOD has that control, it's how you deal w./ them that is up to you. Don't let stress and ISSUES take control-get to the gym or go for a walk and get rid of those stress issues. Take it out on the pavement or on the squat rack. YOU CAN DO IT.

Ok, enough on that. We had our Aurora's Farmer's Fair this past weekend. This was the first time Rozalee was big enough to ride rides. What a blast-funny thing is last weekend (same carnival company) said she wasn't tall enough-guess she grew a bunch in a week:) LOL. The parade was great, my grandma loved it. It was a bit chilly but well worth it. Kenny and his old buddy on the slide-who would of thought they would go from racing dirt bikes/harley's/quads to racing on the fair slide!!!

Exteme Training Camp

What can I say-I have been to lots of camps but NONE that even touches this kind of camp. Totally different than what I'm used too.

There were male, female bodybuilders, figure, fitness and bikini competitors and ladies just getting ready to take the stage for the first time. I have been working w/ John Parrillo since January and I thought I had learned alot from him already. Well, I learned much more, not only about how and why he designed equipment like he has but the how and why you need to eat to get ready for a show and how to eat getting ready for a show so you don't blow up afterwards. He teaches how to eat in the off season and how not to get fat. With all the products he has you can't get fat. Who else had protein cookies, ice kreem, brownies, frosting, cake mix and much more that is sugar free and fat free AND MADE ALL IN THE USA!!!!!!!!!
We started on Friday night w/ dinner and chatting. We had tilapia, green beans and the best salad I have ever had in my life. All the participants could sample anything they wanted all weekend. There were some bodybuilers in the protein brownies, ice kreem and frosting-that thought they died and went to heaven. We started discussing nutrition while our food settled, then it was time to hit the floor. We did 30 minutes of cardio which was made up into 2 minute then 1 minute stations some exmples were incline presses, swing squat, leg press, shoulder press, abs and more. I made it through that OK but was soaked at the end. Lishia stayed w/ me and let me tell ya we both slept well. I was amazed at people that do 2 hours of cardio a day that were struggling w/ 30 minutes.
On Saturday we started w/ back and ended w/ a 100 rep set. Yes, my lats are hurting today. I have been training back w/ John since April and I can honestly say that my summer shirts from last year don't fit this year. I have grown so much in my lats that I even had to by bigger bras. I love it.
We had chicken, stuffed peppers, salad, baked pot. and I can't even rememeber all that was served-all of it was amazing and all of the recipes are online in the CapTri cookbook, if you are interested. After a few more discussions it was time for legs. I demo'ed how to do Parrillo Pelvic Pushes w/ 3 plates just cause I do them weekly. Then it was BELT SQUAT TIME. I have only done this 1x in my life. I was SCARED TO DEATH. We all did 1 100 # plate for 20 reps, then 200# for 15, 300# for 12 and 400# for as many as you can do then 100# for 100 reps. My goal was to match Lishia at 16, well my mind was in the right place and I won at 21 reps w/ 400# belted to my waist. It also shows how important a spotter is when lifting this heavy. After that we were all shot and did 10o rep set for calves and ate dinner.
On Sunday we did a cardio session that was the hardest I have ever done in my life. Try sprinting on a treadmill w/ it turned off, doing a powerlifter move then pylos for your resting period. All in 1 minute, 45 sec and 30 second intervals. We had 3 sec. to get to the next station, we couldn't stop till we made the 3 sec mark. I was about to start kicking peoples butts myself to get them to move it!!! We then ate breakfast and had these sweet pot muffins and a killer keish (not sure how to even spell that)? We went over chest, shoulders and abs. How many of you use your hip flexors when you do abs? I learned how NOT to use your hip flexors at ALL??? I learned how to train different parts of your pecs and different parts of your shoulders and how to isolate a muscle. I had never learned this before. I was amazed how form was the most important thing, it's not about moving the weight to get it where it needs to be but doing it properly to avoid injury and actually make the muscles grow. The thing I love about John is that he has been around for over 30 years and he showed bodybuilders how to grow by eating the proper calories and training HARD CORE. It's not about taking drugs to get there but to be patient and work freakin HARD. Pain is NOT an option at PARRILLO. I think that's where the powerlifting days come out in him. YOU DO NOT STOP WHEN IT GETS HARD or you do MORE. IF YOU DON'T GET DEEP ENOUGH YOU DO IT AGAIN. I am totally changing my body and I'm eating very clean and enjoying it. It's awesome and the group was awesome. It was cool to be working out w/ IFBB Pros and people working to get their pro card. It's all about having the mind set to get to the next level-unless your mind is set you won't be able to do it. SET IT TODAY!!!! I did

I had a WONDERUL BIRTHDAY WEEKEND. I love that my birthday is on a holiday weekend. Friday we grilledd out, had a campfire and ate Smores, Saturday we took the Jeep and the girls to get a Dairy Queen Blizzard, Kenny and I got to go to dinner and a movie then Sunday we had another birthday party. At 8:30PM Kenny decided to invite all the kids over for a sleepover. We made Smores at midnight and all the kids, Kenny and his sister slept in a tent outside by our campfire/pool. It was too cold for Rozalee-so she slept in the bed w/ me. The kids woke up this morning wanting pancakes:) Kenny and his sister ended up sleeping on the ground. I honestly thought one of the kids would get scared and want to go home but they had a ball. Izabella was so happy that her daddy came up w/ that idea. After everyone went home, we took another Jeep ride to get more Dairy Queen. Izabella likes DQ more than I do-if you can believe that.

Needless to say between all the Dairy Queen, hamburgers, chips and beer-I'll be doing extra cardio this week. I had so much fun though-it was worth it. Did I mention Kenny and the girls got me a Dairy Queen CAKE, and the girls made me the cutest card. I am very blessed w/ a wonderful family.

Last week 2 of my friends made me more cake and peanut butter pie:) Thanks Beth and Joyce. We went to the park for a nice walk and lunch. Rozalee and I are still taking weekly long bike rides. My friend Joyce got me biker shorts w/ padding and a new seat for my bike-I lOVE it and so does my butt.

Also last weekend we attended the weekend long GRAVELRAMMA. If you don't know what it is-google it!!! It's built up Jeeps and trucks climbing a 7 story high sand pile. These guys put thousands and thousands of dollars in their motors. It's awesome. On Friday night we watched the flat drags and Izabella couldn't wait till morning to see the hill climb. I actually got to see an old friend climb the hill. It was a great weekend in Southeastern Indiana!!! It made up for me missing Turtle Fest.

This weekend I will be getting my own butt kicked for 3 days straight by John Parrillo and Mike Feulner. I'm actually scared and very nervous. I am praying that I don't puke and that I can just survive this weekend. I know guys that have a tough time, so I can only imagine what I will be doing - especially my Dairy Queen belly:)

School Started!!!

I've never seen someone so eager to go to school and a little sister so eager for her to come home!!! Izabella is in Kindergarten-and I can't believe it. She's loving it but her sister isn't. Rozalee is so excited when I say let's go get the golf cart and pick up your sissy. The bus drops her off at the end of our driveway. It's been an exciting week.

WELL It's OFFICIAL I am a PARRILLO CERTIFIED TRAINER!!! I'm so excited, I'm already using what I have learned on my clients this week. I still can't believe all that I learned. All of my classmates said the same thing.

I have to admit my training slacked the last 2 weeks due to me not feeling well and it showed in my bodystats. I kicked ass this week and THANK GOD it showed. It's amazing what a sickness will do to your strength and cardio and just not wanting to eat. It proves that eating is very important when it comes to putting on muscle and burning fat.

Well the Bears are off to a Gymnastics Carnival:) Wish us luck, it's a 2 dayer!!!

Busy 2 weeks !!!!!

What a busy 2 weeks. My Aunt and Uncle came in from Maryland to surprise my Grandma and that it was. I got to see my cousin-I haven't seen in awhile. We had a little family reunion which was nice. The following week my other cousin came in from Maryland-him and his wife have never been to our house. We took them to the winery-which was FUN. This past weekend had 3 B-day parties at our house. Kenny, his dad and uncle all have the same birthday. I let the girls decorate the cake!!!!

Rozalee has joined gymnastics, so now my living room and couch have turned into a jumping gym. Both of them are on their heads more than their feet:) Rozalee tries to do whatever her big sister does.

We got to house sit a kitty. Izabella wanted her to stay but she had to go back home. We are teaching our mastiff how to pull the wagon. It was actually his 1st birthday on the same day as everyone else's-Aug 8th. Our old mastiff loved pulling the wagon-Bear hasn't quite got the hang of it yet.

It's actually been nice enough to go get on the horses too. We even had a baby calf last week.

Well my training is still about lifting to mean it!!!! I've been mixing my cardio up cause I'm getting bored w/ it. I can't wait till it gets a little cooler to get outside w/ the girls. They just get too hot in that stroller-plus we have idiot neighbors that won't tie up their dogs. We have called the cops and everything but we have to have proof that they are chasing us, trying to bite us etc. I told the cop, I'll video tape his as he's eating my leg!!!! Why are people so stupid? My shoulder is finally getting to where I can press 15 pounds again-I'm so excited to start hitting shoulders, like I used too. Shoulder sx is NO fun.

Where is the Summer Going?

Congratulations to Amanda and David!! What a beautiful wedding. It was great to see alot of the ladies I used to work w/ as a Vet Tech at Ethicon. I miss the people but not the corporate crap that went along w/ it.

This is where I have to preach that you have to like your job to be happy 100%. I got to the miserable point at that place-fun job, good paycheck but not worth the stress.

T-ball is finally over. We all had a great season. Next year Izabella will be in instructional softball-and I'm not reading a LONG rule book to coach!!!

Well I'm trying to get better at facebook, I just don't see how everyone finds the time to type in all that they do all day. I'm trying and my friends are giving me crap for not being on there all the time.

Congratulations to Joyce Rogers, my very first client will be in a very popular magazine soon. I helped her do her video for them. I'm very excited for her-she has come a long way.

I have several clients that are kicking butt and I'm getting ready to help a few get onstage for the first time. I'm very excited for them.

Remember it's not how long you train but how smart you train. A Parrillo trainer told me that last week when one of his clients saw me start a leg workout and finish it in 30 minutes. Trust me that 30 minutes kicked my ass. Literally!!!

Happy July 4th

Man, time flies by. It seems like forever since I have blogged. I just got done reading the girls a book and putting them to bed. I used to not have time or I used to think that work was more important than reading to the girls. BAD MISTAKE, if you are doing what I used to do-put work aside and MAKE THAT TIME to read to your kids at night. They are only little once. My girls love it.

Our trip to Tx was PERFECT. Thanks to Dave and Lisa for being amazing host. I felt like I was in a hotel being waited on all day. Talk about amazing Tx cooking-OMG it was the best. They can grill that's FORSURE. We did go to the PINK PENGUIN-frozen yogurt w/ a wall(I'm serious a full wall) of toppings. Izabella had cereal as her toppings, Rozalee and I split one that had 10 toppings on it. They both flew perfect-I was impressed and so were the flight attendants. All we did for 3 days was cardio, train and then lay by the pool. It was a great little get away. I didn't even take my computer-first time in about 7 yrs going somewhere w/out it. Izabella is already asking when we get to go on another trip.

We came home and went to a fireman's festival parade that Izabella got to ride on a float. It was the first parade I went to that they handed out beer and candy. We also had a great HOT 4th weekend. I hope you all had a great 4th w/ family and friends. We went to a parade and fireworks on Saturday. It was weird seeing everyone at church wearing red/white and blue. I love making holiday memories w/ the girls and Kenny. I know some people that spend holidays away from their kids and I just don't understand that. Try to spend as much time as you can w/ them because they WILL remember that when they grow up.

Rozalee had her 2nd birthday on the 5th, so we had a nice party here and the kids got to swim in the 90+ humid weather. She was a trip opening her presents. She takes after me when it comes to food. She had 3 pieces of cake:) Of course her big sister had to help her open up the presents.

Well now to the training. I was worried after all of the "fun outings" but I kept up my cardio and hard ass training and lost 2 pounds of fat and gained 2 pounds of muscle-so I am happy w/ that. I swear by the Parrillo Ice Kreem-I no longer have night cravings cause if I do I just eat some of that and I'm good to go till morning. I'm still eating clean and loving it. I'm not bored and best of all I'm not starving.

Hello,

Did you all think I disappeared? I have been slammed w/ everything and anything.

I have to start off by saying CONGRATULATIONS to Lishia for her 4th place finish at Jr. Nationals. Her routine woke the house up!!! She proved that you do not have to be a gymnist or cheerleader to perform a kick ass routine. She didn't even have a cart-wheel in there. All strength moves and it was awesome. I think her friend put it on you-tube. This was my first time seeing the Jr. Nationals. I thought the Jr USA's were tough, my goodness-these girls don't play. Everyone that walked out there looked amazing. You CAN NOT call yourself a national level competitor till you have competed w/ these chicks on stage-that's for dang sure!!!

I was very impressed. I didn't get to see the finals cause I left Sat. morning to be home for Father's Day but I heard that Lishia rocked the house again on Sat. night even more than Friday night.

We spent Father's Day in the pool and as a family. The girls had a blast and I got fried. They all put on sunscreen and I put on oil/iodine. Shows how smart I am!!!

We have 2 t-ball games left and I'm so excited. The girls and I are going to visit a friend in Tx this week. This will be the first time I take the girls on a plane together. I think it takes longer to get packed and ready than it does the couple of days you are there. It's almost like packing to go camping.

Memorial Day Weekend

I'm a little behind on my blogging. I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend. We did at the camp. The girls swam, we won the golf cart parade and just had great family time along with seeing some of our good ole buddies. Back in the day Kenny would go to Bike Week w/ all of his buddies-now all of his buddies, wives and children all camp together. Who would of thought:)

It was nice to grill out everyday and go get homemade ice-cream EVERYDAY.

Just because I enjoyed my long weekend doesn't mean that I didn't get right back on trac on Tuesday morning. I actually trained 2 bodyparts on Tuesday to make up for Monday. This is where ladies mess up-just because you had a holiday weekend doesn't mean that it has to ruin your entire week. I know it's time for going out to family gatherings etc. My advice is to eat before you leave and just munch on the healthy stuff at the party or if you are at dinner get a good healthy meal. Do Not stop going out w/ friends because you are on a diet-that's a BIG NO NO. I've been to the bar w/ my food before when I was getting ready for a show. I've even went to restaurant and asked them to warm up my own sweet potato because I knew they didn't serve them.

I have grown to love pull-ups. I have been starting my back workouts w/ them and man oh man am I sore. I have a hard time getting my back sore but good pull-ups will do it. Make sure you go down slow and feel that burn. Also, if you are leaning too much during rows, have a spotter put her knee in your back so you are straight and row w/ your back. This has also helped me alot during back training. When it gets tough-I usually cheat-but not w/ a spotter.

Kenny and I are studying to be Parrillo certified. This may be the hardest most indepth studying I have done in a LONG TIME. This is nothing compared to the ISSA test. I feel like I am in college again studying. I am learning alot and so is Kenny. We take our hands on final in August-I'm scared. The take home test is the hardest-it's not like you can just open a book and find the answers-they are my favor-essay questions:( There are 6 books total we have to read.

Well until next week. Oh one other thing-if your gym has a hanging leg press/hack squat-don't be scared use it. I used it for the first time last week-WOW DOUBLE WOW on the butt and hammys. I could hardly do it w/ 5 pound plates on there. It was much easier on my knees though.

She graduated

Well Izabella graduated from pre-school and decided to move out:) The day after her graduation she packed her toys and her sister in their red wagon and off they went:( Just kidding, she only made it to the middle of the driveway. Gosh I dread the day she turns 18 an graduates from high school.

T-ball is off to a great start. The Little Bears are hitting great. I hope you are all ready for a great Memorial Day weekend. We are going camping for the first time this year. I'm so excited, I can't wait to see all of our camping buddies. I'm just praying the rain stops soon.

Don't sweat the small stuff

I was hurrying this morning when I wrote my blog. I forgot to attach some pics and other "stuff".

I am so glad that I have "not sweating the small stuff" figured out. I have a crazy week ahead and awhile ago, I would have been stressing, trying to figure out how I'm going to get to 2 places at once and the list goes on and on. BUT instead I don't worry about that small stuff anymore. I'll get where I need to be when I get there. Don't get me wrong I hate to be late and it doesn't happen very often BUT w/ being a mom-it happens. I'm just happy to have a great husband and 2 wonderful girls. I'm blessed to have as good as girls as I do have. I take them to dinner when Kenny is at work and people will ask me-who went w/ ya, you took both your kids to dinner. I always say YEP-just me and the girls. I know SEVERAL moms that couldn't do that w/ their young kids. I'm just happy to be alive, have family and great friends. I get clients that call me having "bad" weeks. WE ALL HAVE THEM-we are human, you just have to prioritize your wants/needs. I put my family first BUT I do still make ME TIME. Since I know I'm having a crazy week, I'm planning to get up early and stay up alittle later to get done what needs to get done ie-working out/cardio.

I also will be Izabella's Pre-schools teacher's daughter's final project for school. (is that even a word) anyways-she is following us around taking pics of everything for her photojournalism class. I told her I wasn't that interesting but her professor wanted a final done on a bodybuilder. I'm far from a bodybuilder but I'll do my best to get her a good grade. Good Luck Sara on your final.

I hope all of you had a great Mother's Day. It is a great feeling to be a Mother. Izabella made me the cutest card at school along w/ a book about ME. I had a great day w/ family and a GREAT BIG BREAKFAST-WOW.

Our weekend was full of festivals, birthday party-playing laser tag, eating pizza and watching movies w/ the girls. I thought Izabella would be scared at the laser tag-but she loved it. We had her end-of year breakfast at her school yesterday. She graduates on Wednesday. I want her to stop growing cause I don't want her to graduate high school!! I want her to stay little. Does anyone have a pill for that-keep em 5 yrs old:)

I purchased a new jogging stroller-cause I have wore out the bearings in mine:) As I was waiting to pick it up, I met a man that has stuck in my mind since. He was a grandpa of 13 and 2 great-grandkids. He actually went to school w/ my father-in-law. He was purchasing a movie to show to some of his inmates. His wife and him go to juvenile detention centers and speak to kids in trouble. They especially spend time w/ kids that don't have parents or their parents don't have anything to do w/ them. Why can't there be more people like this out there???

Wednesday was our first t-ball game. The Little Bears did great. I'm so proud of them. I love coaching those little guys.

Leg tip of week:) This was on Thursday and I'm still sore on Tuesday. My legs are still giving out if I try to go to fast!!! I finally did a light 45 minute jog this morning. All I did was 4 sets of squats, 4 sets of hack squats, had to walk outside cause I didn't want to puke in gym, 4 sets of butt lifts and that was all. BUT I had to do each and every rep perfect or I had to start over. I got to 20 on the hack squat-didn't go deep enough and had to start over. It's all about having your mind in tune w/ your workout. Don't go through the motions that waste your time and I know most of you don't have time to waste.

Opening Day was cancelled and the kids were so bummed-me too.

Kenny and I got to ride the school bus to Izabella's kindergarten orientation. It was so much fun. I hadn't been on a bus in a long time. She's going to the same school he went too. We met the teachers, got a tour of the school, had recess and then got to go through the cafeteria line for cookies and milk. She got paired up w/ a kindergarten student and they read a book together and made puppets. She got to see some of her friends there too from t-ball last year.

This weekend Kenny had 2 friends pass away. One took his own life while the other died in a motorcycle accident. Please keep those families in your thoughts and prayers.

I got a new idea for oatmeal :) Have you had those Splenda Mocha packets that go into your coffee? Well when I had 2 clients from Canada here, we went to Wal-Mart and they spotted them. So instead of putting them in my coffee like I was doing-I put one in my oats and they are GOOOODDDDD.

I also bought some MILK PROTEIN powder from Parrillo and use it instead of milk on things like pudding, cereal, coffee etc. It taste really good. I have never used it as a shake but as a milk additive when cooking etc.

Did anyone see the FitnessRx w/ Trish Warren's 20 minute workout. Ya that will kill ya at 5am. I tried-key word tried, to do it along w/ 5 minutes of jogging in between. I thought I was going to die. I did it 1/2 way and ended up doing part of those moves w/ jogging in between. I never said I was a kickboxer-that's forsure. I could of made a damn good home movie that morning. I wanted something new and that's what was on my treadmill that morning. It was NEW alright-new for this body.

How To Achieve Physical Fitness

When people think of personal fitness they often do not imagine anything more

than physical exercise. In my quest to achieve a healthier lifestyle, I came to realize

quickly that it requires a balance of both body and mind not only to get started but to

maintain the results you will eventually achieve. Foremost, my professional trainer is a

“godsend” who helps me stay focused. There are many steps to achieve physical fitness.

While realizing the ripe age of forty is right around the corner, it occurred to me

after a brisk walk how out of breath I was. Furthermore, while getting out of bed in the

mornings and hearing every bone in my body pop, I am convinced the popping gets

louder with every passing year. My mind set had to be changed, being healthy should be

a way of everyday life.

Welcoming a long, fulfilling journey is a top priority for a single mother with

twin boys. With dreams dancing in my head of having the opportunity to watch my

children grow, they one day might bear their own children. It is imperative they know

Luck was on my side. Right down the road from my home lives Heather Bear, a

professional personal trainer, who performs “phat camps” all over the United States.

Heather has trained for five years under Two-Time Ms. Olympia. My first meeting with

Heather included discussion about my diet with a quick work-out in her personal gym.

Upon my second work-out there were a series of leg lunges, stomach crunches, and

weight lifting. With my whole body burning it made me wonder if I would make the

walk to the car. The third and fourth visits grew more intense, every muscle in my body

was trembling and Heather was still pushing me for more. I was thoroughly convinced

Heather’s gentle smile was more of a snarl at this point, and she truly hated me. Pain is

now my new best friend, and getting out of bed in the morning is an obstacle. Weeks

have gone by now and the work-outs are getting a little easier, or either Heather has

decided that she does not want to kill me yet. This experience with her is changing

my life for the better, so I am going to invite my sister to start coming with me.

After a quick phone conversation with my sister Sonya, she was also ready

to take the challenge for a healthier life. The thought of her having to drive over an hour

to get to Heather’s gym was already showing me her level of dedication. Our first

session with Heather was still painful, but Sonya survived it. Having my sister as a

partner is amazing; as a result, we encourage one another plus we make fun of each

other. Even though she is now convinced Heather hates her, we look forward to our

weekly work-out. Heather has taught Sonya and me a healthier way of eating; for

example, we have both purchased George Foreman grills to help us when preparing

meals. Tilapia, flounder, cod and steamed vegetables are part of my new diet. We also

have our own treadmills and set of dumb bells in our homes. It is amazing how much

better we feel. Our journey is long, yet our accomplishments go a lot of Heather for her

knowledge in fitness, and always believing in us. She never gives up on us and we

believe in her.

To get ready for physical fitness it takes both your body and mind. Working out with a

friend or family member can help keep a person motivated. Finally, seek out the best

Yep, I'm coaching again. I love it, Rozalee is my mascot. We had practice tonite and she runs and gets all the bats and balls. It's a blast.

We also got Bear a friend. I was having rottweiler withdraws. I've had rotties since I was in college and Kenny has had them since the early 80's. Rozalee loves the BIG BEAR and Izabella loves the Rocky-the Rottweiler.

I finally got to use my bike this weekend. I put a seat on the back for Rozalee and we went for a 6 mile ride. No one told me that I needed to buy a GOOD seat-OUCH my butt hurt. I went and bought me a foam memory seat:) AHHH much better.

Ok-I have a leg workout for ya-YES IT WILL HURT worse than my Wal-Mart bike seat:0)

It's so nice here in Indiana-it's just great to be alive, be surrounded by family and friends.

My grandma graduated from her PT and now gets to workout at home. Her PT ask me if I knew what the exercises were-HA HA I told him I'd love to put my grandma through a good workout at age 83. It was funny because they are basic curls, kickbacks, presses and lateral raises w/ 1 pound dbs. I told him - I think I can get it figured out:)

One of my clients wrote a paper on me. Her English project was to write about - How to Achieve Physical Fitness. She wrote about me training her and her sister. It was so great to read what she wrote about me. She got an A which was even sweeter. I have made pain Miranda's best friend and getting out of bed after legs is an obstacle. I love her descriptive writing:)

Well I trained back w/ John Parrillo for the 1st time and 3 days later I still can't get my shirt off-because my lats are still burning. They are pumped and look awesome though!!! I have never nor did I know you could train a back like that. My forearms hurt from doing rows-shows how I was training light. Nothing like doing pull-ups then doing pull-up pumps for 4 sets of 20 each and that was a warm-up. I got to do the hack squat yesterday-too much fun to explain. I am now learning that I wasn't pushing myself NEAR enough on my own. I will make changes now.

I have choose NOT to do Jr Nationals and just wait till I have totally changed my butt/legs and build a bigger back. The next time you see me on stage is when I know for a fact I'm going to kick some ass, I'm going to be able to kick young 20's girls butt.

Well we had Izabella's birthday party/sleep over, campfire, made smores, had her cousins birthday, pre-school Easter party, Easter egg hunt at church, Easter egg hunt at both grandparents house and I competed.

I made homeade ice-cream and it actually turned out.

Congratulations to a client/friend Missy Rosemeyer. She competed in her first show and place 5th in the tall class. I'm very proud of her. I got 4th in my short class. Now it's time to take it up a notch for Jr. Nationals.

WHY ????

Why do all of the GOOD GUYS have to leave us so early. I met Jim back in 99 and since that day I knew he was the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. We spent 2 weeks out in Sturgis back in 2000 and he was the life of the party. He always brought dessert to Thursday night supper when us "bikers" would meet up at our friends house. He played Santa for the hospitals and the children's home. He wanted every kid to see Santa at Christmas. He played Santa for our bike club. Since we have had the girls we sold our bike last year and don't get out much to see our good ole' biker friends. Even though I didn't see him and his wonderful wife Linda as much as we used to-they would ALWAYS welcome us w/ a big hug and kiss. Jim passed away of cancer and today is his visitation. I wish we had our Harley to ride like everyone else but I'm sure Jim will understand:) It's killing me to type this. I had actually planned on blogging about my show I did this weekend-but that's not even important right now. Please put the Mooreheads in your thoughts and prayers today.

Cancer is such an ugly disease-I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Say HI to MR BULL

Well Izabella is on Spring Break this week. It was finally nice enough to go to the park on Saturday. She rode her bike and I chased her pushing Rozalee. She kept saying faster faster-which made me get in a sprint session:)

I have a LONG gravel driveway and since the snow is gone Kenny finally got to get some new gravel put down. I would have Izabella get 1/2 way down then I would try to catch her-another great sprint day. Kenny was just waiting for 1 of us to wipe out.

I have a tip of the week for ya-do you walk on the balls of your feet, flat footed or heels first? If you want to work on your butt-DO NOT go buy a pair of those high dollar tenny shoes walk w/ your heels first. I have been doing this since January and it is making a difference. I was a sprinter in high school so I got in the habit of walking on my toes. Hard habits are hard to break but they make a difference.

Remember this week when you are training-when it gets tough PUSH through those last couple reps-THEY ARE THE ONES THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE.

One last thing-we had a make-up day at gymnastics yesterday and quess what-THERE WAS A DAD whose little girl was having a birthday party at the gym and he was sitting at her birthday table watching the basketball game on his laptop. I wanted to pick it up and throw it across the floor.

Thanks for the comments on that-I was hoping I wasn't the only one that thought that it was wrong not to watch your kids at the gym.

Wacky Wednesday

The sun is finally out !!!!! but the rain hasn't stopped:(

It was so nice to get to talk to some of you at the Arnold. What a crowded mess, that place has grown to be? There were a few things I wanted to see but couldn't even walk over to the booth, I wanted to get too. We were lucky enough to have our booth close to the bathroom, so it only took 15 minutes to get there instead of 30...

If you ever want to change up your breakfast you can add alittle green dye to your egg whites and have green eggs, like I made for Izabella's Pre-School class last week. They loved the green eggs and ham, dressing Wacky on Wednesday and in their PJ's on Friday. It's great to just have some fun w/ your kids. I took Izabella to her back handspring clinic at gymnastics and the stands were full of parents working on their computers on a SUNDAY. I was so saddened by them not even taking a 1 hour break away from work to watch their kids practice on their back handsprings. What if they were to get hurt or finally do one for the first time and the parent missed it because they had their head plastered to a computer screen? I know when Izabella did hers the first time, she yelled from the floor-"mommy did you see that". She was so proud-even if her coach helped a little:) It was all about me seeing it.

I've read both of Tony Dungy's books and WOW they can make you open your eyes to a few things. You all know, I love the Colt's but I just got alittle more respect for them.He talks about how to be a Great Coach and AWESOME PARENT. I may just hand that book to a mom at gymnastics this evening. Seriously-I know work is important but your kids are MORE important. Ok enough about that, I could go on for hours on this topic. If you want to borrow 1 of his books, let me know. I'd be happy to send it to ya. He has tons of great quotes in there along w/ stories about his success and struggles.

We had our first baby calf born last week too. It's great to see those new babies out in the field kicking and playing.

On Saturday we went to the circus. What a blast. I've never been to one before. Rozalee started to cry anytime the elephants would leave. The girls loved the clowns and crazy gymnasts or whatever they are hanging from ropes and the ceiling. It was a great 2 hour show. I want to know how they keep from breaking their neck as they twirl from a rope?

I'm also down another 5 pounds. I didn't get to train w/ Parrillo last week due to me taking care of my Grandma etc. I go see him on Wednesday so I won't be able to walk till Sunday. So at church I'll pray for pain relief:) LOL. I did put myself through a good leg workout on Friday though. Kenny said I got tiny quick-which is a surprise cause I usually get this tiny 5 days from a show not weeks before. I feel awesome.

I had 2 HARD WORKING women from Canada join me last week for a few days. I know they went back home w/ LOTS of stuff-not just shopping items/food items but knowledge too. They made me realize that we take alot for granted in the US. They do not have the food options we have here. It was my pleasure to host them here. They will both continue their journey up in Calgary.

I am down more weight in a week-about 3 pounds. I put my pics side by side from last week to this week. My shoulder is doing better but still swollen. It's amazing what hard work will do. Why go through the motions-get in the gym w/ a focus and DO IT. Push that weight, you don't make changes doing a workout 1/2 way. You have to have your mind in what you are doing. Get that MIND/Muscle connection WORKING. I pulled out some of Kenny's old Muscle & Fitness mags from the early 80's. Trust me they are nothing like they are today. There is actually articles in there worth reading. It teaches ya how to actually workout and work out hard. I'm not saying you have to puke every time you work out but you need a good hard core workout every once in awhile. Some of the lady bodybuilers wrote some really good articles about changing your body by actually picking up a bar and squatting!!! You will NOT look like a man if you do this but you will have nice legs/butt.

Hard work counts-but only if done correctly. Nothing is free in this world so you have to work for what you want. I want GREAT BUTT & Legs!!!!

Where has the time gone? We have been snowed in for 2 weeks. The kids are now going to school till June 15th:( So much for a summer break. I'm ready for Spring already. We have been using the loader on tracks for cleaning the driveway. The girls love it. We finally had Izabella's school Valentine's Day party today.

I'm back on track-well I never fell off w/ the legs just the upper body training. I'm sticking to my diet 100%. Cardio is kicking and I'm loosing fat weekly-which I love. I did have a bad week the week of sx. I gained a little fat but I cut out some carbs and w/in 6 days I lost 2 pounds of fat:)

It's amazing what a little tweeking of a diet will do. I finally am doing a diet and I'm not starving. This is awesome. I can loose weight and not be ready to eat the kitchen table. I got my butt kicked by John again yesterday. Man, I can hardly walk today. I have decided that if I'm going to put myself through the pain and hardwork I go through w/ him-I'm not even eating 1 of Izabella's goldfish. NO WAY am I messing this hard work up. I think natural child birth is easier than his leg workouts and I'm being dead serious. That man knows his stuff.

I have 2 ladies spending a few days w/ me from Calgary Canada this weekend, so I'll be posting more pics soon.

I returned from an awesome 2010 Calgary camp. It was nice and cold up there but well worth the trip. We got home on Monday night and I woke up Tuesday morning to go have shoulder sx. I won't be posting pics this week due to my arm being in a sling. I'm getting better daily. I honestly didn't think it would hurt as bad as it did. I had Kenny take the dressing off of it last night so I could at least take a bath. I'm heading for my check-up, hope it is where the dr wants it to be.

We are on our way!!!!!

I have my pics to post (can you tell I was hurrying)(what a facial expression & ya gotta love the hair):) I'm down 6 pounds on the scale BUT 3+ pounds of fat and +.6 pound of lean mass:) I've never checked this info before and it's paying off. The first week I lost 1.6 pounds of lean mass so I upped my protein and BAM more fat loss and a + lean mass. I'll take that. I'm fired up about this year-like never before. Ya know, I have road blocks like each of you, being a mom, wife, flat tires, car wrecks, family issues, running to gymnastics, working full-time, and trying to workout and do 1.5 hours of cardio. I DO IT, yep sometimes I don't want to BUT I block everything out and make sure I do a kick ass workout. I have found out that I do better when you have your full mind on your workout-don't just go through the motions. If you are going to do it DO IT RIGHT. This is something my husband has been trying to tell me for a long time and w/ a little help-I got it figured out!!!

I'm off to Calgary in the AM till Monday then SHOULDER SX on Tuesday. Say a prayer I'm not laid up too long-my mind is in the game and I don't want to stop.

Wanted to show our 6 month old pup that weighs 85 pounds. Him and Rozalee are BUDDIES BIG TIME. Izabella just yells at him cause Rozalee feeds him all of their toys and babies!!!! She fed him my Colts hat on Sunday. Before I knew it was gone - it was GONE into pieces. She feeds him Goldfish, crackers, cookies, bananas, apples, pancakes, sandwiches whatever she eats she shares w/ him.

For those of you that don't know Kenny & I are HUGE FANS.

I also got my own butt handed to me by John Parrillo this week. OMG- I have NEVER worked legs like that before EVER, EVER. What an eye opener. My legs were screaming and so was I. Holy Cow. I now know how the Biggest Loser's feel when they say they can't and Jillian makes them do more. I have NEVER done a set of 100 for legs BUT I did it!!! I also now know how it feels to say no more and then I have to do another 25:) I learned to keep my mouth shut after doing about 50 more than I would of had too to begin with.

Izabella's teachers told us at the parent/teacher conference that she talks alot. Now, I know where she gets it from:) At least it comes honestly !!

We are heading to a gymnastics meet tomorrow. Izabella is so excited to watch the big girls compete.

Happy New Year
I hope you have a bigger and better year than 2009.

I had a nice quiet New Year at home. We watched a few movies and were in bed at 12:05. Man how times have changed over the last 10 years. I can remember staying out till 3am. Does that mean Kenny and I are getting old:) It's not worth having 1 drink and driving home. We took Izabella to see Alvin and then to get pizza. What a cute movie-I recommend it to all kids. Rozalee isn't old enough yet to sit through a movie. I did get to go to my Italian family reunion on Friday. It was great seeing everyone-I only see most of them 1x a year.

I got all the Christmas decorations down and ready to start a new year. I love the holidays-wish they came more than 1x a year.

Was Santa good to you? I had the bestest of all best weeks.

It started w/ a Cookie Exchange at my moms. I came home w/ 72 cookies:) It was my first and alot of fun. Izabella thought she died and went to heaven picking cookies from everyone's baskets.

On Thursday we took the girls to lunch and went ice skating. It was so much fun. Kenny and Izabella went last year so it was my year to try it. I haven't roller skated in years but it was just like riding a bike. The only bad thing was kids were better than me and the older ones were TEXTING while skating. I thought driving and texting was bad:)

Santa was WAY to generous to the girls and me. The girls got way to much as usual. My hubby was extra generous to me. It was a nice day to chill out and have a glass of wine or two.

I'm very thankful for everything and everyone in my life.

It's already Christmas at the Bear's. Izabella had her last day of school w/ a fun little X-mas party. Santa and Mrs Claus showed up on Saturday while we had all the Bears and my side of the family here. You should of seen the kids faces when Santa barged in the front door during dinner:) Talk about FOOD, we had enough food for 2 other families. I had the most ever at my house-around 20 adults and 6 kids. Sunday we finally got a chance to play in the snow. Kenny pulled Izabella behind the quad on a new sled that Santa brought.

Well last weekend we went to the Lebanon Ohio Horse Parade. It is 1 hour of nothing but horse drawn carriages. We try to go every year because it is the BEST of the BEST of parades.

My grandma, mom, Izabella and I also went to see the Rockettes this week. I want to be a dancer!!! That is an awesome show and recommend it to anyone. There is so much talent up there on that stage, it's breath taking.

Izabella was in her school Christmas program and our church program this weekend. She had her first program where she actually had to say something by herself. She did great but let me tell you, when the teacher says to say it loud, she does-guess she gets that from me!!! You could hear her over everyone when it comes to her singing x-mas songs. It was alot of fun, Rozalee liked seeing her sister up there too.

This was the best Thanksgiving ever.

We celebrated my Grandma's 85th birthday then headed to Maryland to visit my cousins-I haven't seen in a long time. The kids had a blast, my aunt waited on the girls hand and foot, we ate and drank way to much for 4 days. If you are ever in Baltimore, go to Port Discovery, it's the coolest place for kids. Then we went to have lunch at ESPN Zone, got a private room plus Izabella got to meet the Raven cheerleaders. We did a day of bowling, then batting cages. The adults got to go out to a very nice place for dinner-Fogo de Chao. It's a HUGE salad bar but they bring you fresh cooked meat of 10 different choices on a HUGE sword. You'll have to go there to believe how this works. You have a chip and when it's on red they won't stop but as soon as you turn it green the MEAT is on it's way. I was scared at first, grown men running around with knives!!! Anyway, I hope you all had a great holiday w/ family and friends. Izabella is already asking about another road trip-they loved watching movies and eating out for a 10 hour drive. It was a PERFECT trip.

Did I mention I kicked my hubby's butt in BOWLING

Well then-
Here's some motivation-
I got a new client this week and she is 80 years old!!!!
She did a total upper body workout w/ 5 pound dbs and never complained once. She did all supersetting and a set of abs on the ball. She was amazing. I'll get a picture of her next week and post it. She walks 1.5 miles a day and eats SO clean and healthy. I just hope I can walk at 80 more less lift weights.

Today I worked at the salon and saw an old friend I used to work with, Amanda. She came in for a set of nails. She was one of my bridesmaids and a very close friend. It seems that once I quit Ethicon we kinda lost contact w/ one another. No more of that, after telling old stories and going to our local pizza stop we are going to stay in touch. Congratulations to Amanda, she is engaged!!!!

Well Happy Turkey Day and EAT and ENJOY. It only comes 1x a year.

Well we got to camp 1 last time this year and we got to take Bull. It was his last camping trip and he is now in heaven. I'm going to miss that dog-he was the first thing Kenny ever bought me when we started dating 10 years ago.

Everyone had a blast camping. Kenny and I bought bikes to keep up w/ Izabella on her bike. Kenny & Izabella rode the sky lift while Rozalee and I shopped:) and bought fudge. We did ride the tram up the mountain to see the bears.

I wanted to show everyone how much our pup is growing. He's already 45 pounds and has BIG shoes to fill since he is our only dog.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, we are heading to Maryland to visit my aunt and cousins. I can't wait. I'll post pics when I get back.

Halloween Pics

I hope you are recovering from the candy:) I added a few pics from Izabella's school party and from Halloween. One of my friends Tanya from Canada sent me both of these Princess dresses-they got put to good use. Rozalee was a fairy and Tinkerbell, Izabella was Ariel and then was Cinderella in her white wedding gown. They had fun and we didn't eat too much candy-LOL.

I did a photo shoot in Chicago yesterday. My dear friend Joyce rode w/ me. It was a fun day-long but fun. I can't wait to see the pics.

We did find out that our 10 yr old rottie has cancer-it's bad enough that it effects people but it gets to animals too. For those of you that don't know, I'm a veterinary technician-that's actually how I met my husband. He came into the office w/ a sick rottie too. I got this dog as a pup that someone brought into the office. I begged Kenny to let me get a puppy and he couldn't say no-pups are so cute. It makes ya wonder if they will ever release the cure to cancer-I know they have it but they are making tooooooo much money off of it. So we are just enjoying our last couple weeks w/ him. He is getting spoiled inside with the girls loving on him all the time. I'm hoping to take him camping 1 last time this weekend.

I hope you all have a safe Halloween. I just wanted to share a few pics from Brian's (Jen's Hubby) his surprise birthday party in Port Clinton. Kenny and his friend Chris Dj'ed and we all had a blast. It was nice to see everyone together having a great time.

We just got home from Izabella's Halloween party. I'll have some great pics after tomorrow. I also some awesome news but can't share till Nov. 1st. No, I'm not pregnant:) Well it's finally nice today so I'm heading out for a walk. Tomorrow is the Monster Mash show, good luck to Lynn who will be competing-Kenny & I will be yelling for ya.

Viruses YUCK

Where do I begin?
I had a great weekend in Toronto at Phat Camp. I came home to a virus on my computer from Facebook-sorry if you got it from me. I DID NOT send any e-mails from facebook, just so you know. It's not like we don't have enough viruses w/ the regular flu and now Swine Flu. I can't believe people actually have that much extra time to make computer viruses:( On top of my computer being SICK, my blackberry keyboard broke at the same time. I actually thought my phone also had a virus. I was about in melt down mode UNTIL my best friend asked me to watch her kids because her dad died. MAN-did that put my life in perspective FAST. Here I thought I was having a bad day but nothing like she was going through. I took her girls and mine to get pizza and just was thankful to be there.
Please say a prayer for my friend Megan and her family. When you think you have it bad-there is could always be worse.
I just thought I would share that w/ everyone. Don't worry about something like a computer virus when it could be much worse.

Bear's new pet

This is a 2000+ pound gentle giant. I'm back in the cattle business:) I never thought I would say that. For those of you that don't know I use to show cattle all over the country. We now have 5 cows, 1 calf and a BIG BOY. Mr Bull lets Rozalee pet him too. He follows the golf cart around.

Well I thought it was cold here but Wisconsin is COLD. We just returned from a great camp there. We were at the nicest, biggest gym I have ever seen in my life. Their staff was amazing and truly into their jobs. Thanks Wisconsin for a great Phat Camp. I'm heading out again to Toronto this weekend.

Crazy Weekend

What a non-stop week/weekend.

We have the Aurora's Farmer's Fair-which is a BIG event for little Indiana. The girls got to see the Budweiser horses on Tuesday. I think those horses live better than we do. They are BEAUTIFUL.

The fair also has Quacky-the famous clown. The girls both got balloons made into a dog and flower. We also rode plenty of rides and played many games. Did I mention the "fair food":) Friday was a girls night out. The parade Saturday morning lasted over 2 hours. I got to take my grandma this year and she loved it more than the girls. Grandma even played a few games. Saturday we had 2 birthday parties to attend. Sunday we went to Canal Days in Metamora, Indiana. Did I mention more "fair food"?:) We did take a canal ride pulled by draft horses. Saw more clowns, face painting, dogs, horses and Izabella got to go into an old mill. It was a great weekend for the Bears.

Best Fried Chicken EVER

I have to tell ya-I do not like fried chicken but MAN can the Manchester Fire Dept. fry up the best chicken ever. I stopped up there on Sunday and it was amazing. I wish they did it more than 2x a year. It was all fat free, calorie free too-well that's at least what I told my butt:)

Indiana is getting to become a swamp....it has to quit raining sometime. Kenny is having a quad party this weekend. We are expecting about 20 guys to come over and ride. Hope they bring their rain suits. We were planning on taking the girls to the Fall Fest but looks like it's not even going to let up for that.

Izabella and I went to Disney on Ice Wednesday w/ my friend Meg and her daughter. We had awesome seats and guess what? I took my camera but NO battery. I can't believe I did that, so we bought a 15.00 book w/ good pictures in it to show Kenny.

Well here's my story for the day-

I planned to get up early and get cardio and e-mail done before I had to get Izabella off to school at 7:00am. We never set an alarm because Rozalee has always woke up at 6:30-7:00 even on Sundays before church. Kenny has been working 12 hour days so he's trying to get as much sleep as possible. Let me remind you I NEVER EVER have woke up late for work, high school, college, nothing-even back in the days when I would stay out drinking all night NEVER EVER it just didn't happen. Well then there is this morning-I woke up at 8:37am and about had a heart attack, first because Rozalee didn't wake up so that scared me to death, secondly Izabella has to be at school by 8:30 and Kenny has to leave for work at 9:30. I run in to Rozalee's room and she's in her bed playing w/ her bears-Thank God and Kenny runs and gets Izabella up. I call the school and let them know what I did. We rush breakfast down poor Izabella, get her teeth brushed, dressed and out the door. I hurry drop her off while Kenny gets Rozalee breakfast and his lunch made, as I pull in the garage he pulls out and heads to work. It's now 10:00 am and I have to leave at 11:15 to pick Izabella up from school. I look at my e-mail real quick to make sure there were no emergency's that need to be answered ASAP and decide to attempt my morning cardio walk outside in the sprinkling rain. I tell Rozalee this is going to be quick because we have to pick up your sister soon. I usually walk 3-4 miles in the morning-unless it's raining hard then I do it inside-which I should of done this morning:) I get about 1 mile down the road and this nice little old lady that has a farm/cattle stops me to chat. They are in their 80's and still farm w/ about 20 head of cattle. For those of you that know me, I used to show cattle and now I have 7 cows again. So I couldn't run the little lady and her farming story. Did I mention I forgot my watch as I went out the door this morning!!! Ok, she's down talking, have NO idea what time it is, so to make the best out of this cardio session I decide I better kick it up a notch and RUN. I run about 1 mile, walk 1/2 and run another 1/2. I'm thinking I should be right on time. I walk the rest of the way home and get in the garage and see it's 11:20. I'm soaking wet from the rain and sweat. I change my clothes, and put Rozalee straight in the car. We're 5 minutes late picking up Izabella from school but it all worked out.

I almost sweated the small stuff this morning but I did what I could and made the best of it-don't stress over small stuff!!! It's not worth it.

My tip of the week is make sure you have a pair of gym shoes in each of your vehicles w/ a pair of extra workout clothes too. I have always done this and last week it came in handy. I was doing nails at the salon and had a 2 hour break so I made the best of it. I changed my clothes and hit the sidewalk for some cardio and a little mini-bootcamp. I always have the extra stuff w/ me because you just never know when you'll need it. They don't have to be a good pair-mine are actually pairs that are OLD like 5-6 yrs old.

On another note-I'm looking for a healthy chili recipe-anyone have one somewhere?

This past weekend had the Kenny's nephews birthday party and we also got to take a tour of where Kenny worked. He's been there 10 years and we've never got to see the inside of the Ford plant in Sharonville, Oh. He's a millwright/ironworker and they make the transmission for alot of the Ford vehicles. They had a car show, dog show, FOOD, ICE CREAM and free tours of the plant. It was so cool to actually see what goes on inside that 100+ acre plant. It's so big they drive gold carts inside because it would take you forever to get from 1 side to the other. It's actually amazing how they design these machines to build and put together transmissions. The girls had a blast. Rozalee especially liked the dog obstacle course.

Rozalee is going to be an animal lover like me. We have a 2000 pound bull that she pets in the field. Izabella likes small animals but the big ones scare her-not Rozalee the bigger the better. Which brings me to my next story. Our scotty 2 weeks ago got hit by a car, out underground fence wasn't working:( We told Izabella he was in heaven w/ our goat and Titan our English mastiff that died of heart failure last year. We told her that Great Grandma was taking care of them up in heaven, so she said they could stay up there then. Last Friday night Kenny came home w/ a new English Mastiff puppy. The girls LOVE him. They were both so surprised Saturday morning when we brought him inside. Rozalee gets on the ground and wrestles w/ him already.

I also had a jewelry party last Wednesday. You all know I love my jewelry!!! So did Rozalee. Izabella liked have all the kids over to play inside and outside with her. They played make-up and oh was it everywhere!!!

Hello,
Seems like forever since I wrote on my blog. I'm a year older now and Rozalee is walking
:)
I always think of things I want to write about during the week and then I get time to sit down and write and I forget what I wanted to say.

I had a great weekend camping w/ family and friends. I also took another week off of training.My friend Joyce came to visit and brought my hubby homemade salsa and pickles. He thought it was his birthday. It seems summer went so fast. It never did get that HOT in Indiana.

Back to training this week and off to camp tonite in Dayton. My legs are sooo sore from legs on Wednesday, I may not make it through the night. It felt good to get back and kick it up a notch in the gym. I forgot about Monday being a holiday so I had to make up that training on Tuesday along w/ my normal arm workout. I love holidays but I hate to do 2 bodyparts in 1 day. It kills me.

Well my Little Rozalee is into her drawers reorganizing everything. I better go catch her.

I had a great birthday and getting ready to head to the camp now for the long weekend.

Jen and I had a great time in NY for the camp. The girls were awesome. We had a lady attend from London England. I think her butt might of hurt on her flight home!!! We did a killer sprint class outside on Sunday.

I gave my body a break this week and just did some walking. I was at that point where I wanted and needed a break. My knees have been bothering me so I'm using that as my excuse:) The thing is, I used to feel guilty about taking time off, now I have overcome that and know that we all need a break every once in awhile.

I do want to send a Congratulations to Tammy Patnode for getting her pro-card in bodybuilding at the North Americans. It was well deserved.

Grandma babysitting

I leave my 2 girls w/ my mom and my grandma and come home to this!

They were hot and wanted it to snow. Izabella got out her winter clothes hoping for snow so she could go sled riding. I told her she has to wait a few more months for that!

Jen and I are headed to NY this weekend for camp. Are you all ready for a Labor Day celebration? I am because it's my birthday and I'm going to eat CAKE w/ lots of icing. This will be the first year (in awhile) I will eat it and not think twice about it.

If you are stressing over your weight-you're not going to loose it. Trust me- I know. Stress can do more harm than good. As long as you do your best and work as hard as you can in the gym, that's what matters most. You didn't gain the weight overnight-so you're not going to loose it overnight. Be patient BUT don't have 100+ excuses of why you can't loose the weight. I've heard enough excuses this summer of why I can't do it-I should write a book.

HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?

This is my favorite saying that a few of my clients are sick of hearing me say. Yes, you will have days when your head is not in the game-I have em' too. If you do, then take the day off, if it makes you feel better. We all do-we are all human. Don't beat yourself up about it. Start the next day as a new day and a better day.

I want to send a HUGE Congratulations to Adela. She came back after a terrible knee sx and won the Europa this past weekend!!!!

The Bear glan went to the Indy Zoo this past week-it's nothing like Cincinnati. The kids had fun and that is all that matters. Izabella got to ride a horse. Kenny and I went to Crue Fest and it was AWESOME. I have to admit Vince Neil is gorgeous. Tommy Lee hurt his hand and couldn't drum:( Godsmack was actually better than Motley Crue.

It's humid as heck in Indiana, so we just have been hanging out in the pool. I got a few more cows so I got to build fence in this humid weather. The girls love having the cows by the house. Rozalee can feed our bull, he eats out of her hand.

Kenny had a birthday. I let Izabella decorate the cake. She said her daddy was number 1, so that's why we put a 1 on it instead of 44 candles.

As far as training, I'm still doing cardio 5x a week. I actually just got done walking w/ the girls. My legs are still sore from Friday's training. I've been playing w/ protein powder and making a few recipes. I did a blackberry cobbler that was pretty good. I've been picking blackberries all summer. My goal was 5 gallons so I could get some blackberry wine made. I didn't get that accomplished because my dogs are eating my berries before I can get them all picked. I love sharing my experiments w/ ya, so let me know if you have any ideas you want to share or want me to share. I made the girls home made pizza Thursday night out of protein powder and they loved it. I used it instead of flour for the crust.

Well I have to go work at the salon today so until next week.

Indiana may need to build an ARK

Well, the rain has stopped and the sun is finally out. It's about time it feels like SUMMER. I may get to swim today:) We've only got to swim 2x this summer due to the terrible weather.

I got to have lunch w/ a good friend Katie and her boys on the Ohio river last week. The girls had fun. One of my high schools friends was in from Florida, so we went to visit her. Her entire family was home so the kids played, fished, picked berries, got to pet some horses and make smore's by the campfire. Did I mention I had 1 or 2 also!!!

Kenny and I finally got a weekend together w/ Jen, Brian, Lishia and some of Brian's family at Lake Erie. This was a NON-working weekend and I had a blast. It was nice to get away. Kenny and I have never been there before.

For the first time, all of us sat down and had a drink, cheesburger and fries. This never happens because one of us is always dieting for a show. My husband was actually the one that noticed it. Kenny said, "you're all eating"!!!! It is so nice to eat and have fun and NOT worry about it. Lishia made a statement that made alot of sense. We are in our off-season and we think we look fat, but the difference is that we know how to get it off in 8-12 weeks where others don't. We actually look half way decent compare to the rest of the women out there. This is where women have issues, they think we look like we do at a show, year round-and we can't. I've had a few people tell me, wow your puttin on weight-and I just say YES and I love it. The only way to make changes to your body is to put on weight while continuing to workout in your off-season. Anyways, my point was that I had a blast and ate ALOT!!!!

This past week I had a client stay w/ me from Texas. We trained and she even got a sprint workout at the track-she didn't like me after that:) We went to Wal-Mart and read labels. I think she learned alot about sodium and true Texan food. Izabella loved having her stay, she went home w/ lots of pictures that Izabella drew-even on her workout sheets. Lisa-it was nice having ya and I hope your not too sore today.

Well it's almost noon and I promised the girls a walk in the stroller. So I better sign off till next week.

not to compete in September.

I've been thinking and my butt will just not be ready by September. I need time to eat and build muscle back there. I've been dieting since January. We all know, I can't put on size if I'm dieting. I hate not to compete but it's not worth spending all the time and money to get my butt kicked by young 20 year olds:) I'm still doing cardio and training Hard and HEAVY, extra HEAVY in my butt/legs. It's actually like I'm on vacation because I've been dieting every summer for the last 4 years. I started last summer 1 week after Rozalee was born. I really don't know what it's like to enjoy and eat during the summer. Sorry, if I let anyone down but I just need more BUTT MUSCLE.

I know we are having a crappy summer in Indiana, hope you are having a nicer one wherever you live. Actually 1 year ago today, we were bringing Rozalee home for the first time.

Izabella had her T-ball awards last week:) We also surprised my Grandma w/ a visit from her daughter, who she hasn't seen in awhile. She lives in Maryland. That WAS SO neat to see the look on my grandma's face when Mary Rose walked up to her apartment door. I thought I would share a few pics.

I have some great pics from the show last weekend. We all had a blast. It was actually the first show where I got to see what really goes on backstage. It's alot of hard work but well worth it. Lishia and I got to celebrate at the After Party for a job well done.

I almost puked, it was actually worse than training legs w/ Kenny. (Which I did last Monday) got the workout out of Planet Muscle. I wanted to try something different. I've been doing 4x10 HEAVY on Monday and 4x20 on Friday not as heavy. I'm doing 6-8 different exercises. I've been doing lots of squats, lunges, leg press, hack machine, leg ext and much more:) Anyways, I wanted a change so Kenny told me he read this article and I should give it a try.

Here is what I did-hyperextensions no weight to failure ss w/ 12 deadlifts waited a minute and did hyperextensions w/ a 25# plate, 12 deadlifts-I didn't go much past my knee on these, wait 1 minute, 15 hyperextensions-no weight, 12 deadlifts. My deadlifts were as heavy as I could hold.

Then onto 4x20 db squats, 1x15 Heavier db squat, 1x12 heavier db squat

Yep, 6 sets of squats-next I put Rozalee in her walker and headed to the porch. Did I mention it is 89 degrees today-3x 25 walking lunges w/ bar then 5 more lunges w/out about 15 seconds rest inbetween. After I was about to puke I went and did 3x15 HEAVY hack machine-yep I wanted to hack alright. Finally 4x15 leg curls ss by 4x15 lunges (stationary and deep) hold light dumbbells.

I don't know if I'm allowed to copy this from the magazine but just wanted to share w/ you all what I just did.

I did sprints and ran 4 miles yesterday-so my legs were already fried when I woke up and only walked the girls in their stroller this morning. Can't wait till tomorrow:)

Ok, onto big and better things. Rozalee's 1st birthday went great. I've attached a few pics. She dove into her cupcake, mouth wide open. She left her hat on all day, I was surprised. We had lots of family/friends over. Kenny did all the grilling and mom and I did the other cooking. Izabella helped me make extra cupcakes-we only ate a little icing:)

I'm 10 weeks out so I attached those pics too. Alot has been going on, we have t-ball awards tomorrow, going camping, and I'm having my aunt & uncle visit for a week. I haven't seen them in about 2 years. We are going to surprise my grandma with their arrival. I do have to say I had another friend pass on-God Bless the Walker family. Life is so short, you just never know. I know so many people that are angry w/ their spouse or family members and I hate it. I hate that people live their life unhappy/angry. Make a change and be HAPPY. I can honestly say my husband and I never fight. Now, I may get mad because he doesn't put something away or something stupid like that but we always get over it shortly after. Don't leave the house angry or go to sleep mad. I hate it when people think they need to stay together for their kids. If your not happy, your're not going to make your kids happy. Take care of you first then worry about your family/friends. I watched this on the news this morning and it just hit home a bit. I wish my parents would of divorced when I was younger, because all they did was fight when I was growing up. But instead they waited till their 25th wedding anniversary and divorced. I was 25 at the time and I think it was harder being older.

Anyways, on a positive note, have a great weekend. I have to put my desk back together-Rozalee has torn it apart while I have been typing this:)

Happy 4th of July Everyone,

I have to say that we attended a beautiful wedding last Saturday. Best of all, I got to see a few of my elementary/high school teachers and friends. I hope my elementary gym teachers reads this!!!! I did giver her a business card.... I haven't seen her since I was in 6th grade in 1999. I used to hold the record in a few of the long runs, she had us do. I used to hate doing them along w/ the wall sits, pull-ups and whatever else she used to make me do. I don't think she ever thought I would be doing what I'm doing today. I told her, that I still think of those school days and make some of my clients do some of the crazy things I had to do in elementary school. They may be old school but they work! I also saw an old high school friend that I hadn't seen in 12+ years. It was great talking about old times and some of the stupid thing we used to do. I can't believe both of us are married w/ children. I still can't believe some of the people I got to see and visit with. It was a great time.

I also got to go to my friends Joyce house and train in her gym. This was the first time in awhile that I got to workout somewhere besides my house. That was a nice change.

Little Rozalee will be a year old on Sunday-can't believe that either. It's amazing how time flies. I'll have some pics up next Friday of her party.

I hope you all have a safe holiday weekend. Spend as much time w/ your friends and family because you never know when it'll be your last time seeing them. I've had to attend a few funerals here lately and it's sad to say BUT you just never know.

Camping and Baby Contest

I have added a few camping pics from our last weekend at the camp. We are heading there again today w/ a wedding tomorrow.

Rozalee placed 2nd out of 30 at our county fair baby contest. It was 100+ degrees and she was still smiling. It was so much fun.

I'm officially 12 weeks out from Team U. I thought I would take a week off from the gym after Jr. Usa's but I didn't. I did take 2 weeks off of the 2 hours of cardio and only did 45 minutes a day. I've still got my head in the game and ready to make some improvements. I'm working this BUTT 2x a week and have stuck to a pretty good diet the last couple of weeks. We had several graduation parties etc to attend and I was proud of myself. I had a little fun but not too much, if ya know what I mean. It is summer and I do want to have fun w/ my husband and family. I know if I get too out of control, that's just harder I have to work in the upcoming weeks.

I hope you are all staying cool and have fun w/ family and friends. Live is too short sometimes, so enjoy and don't live w/ any regrets.

We've had a crazy week between swim lessons, gymnastics, t-ball, birthdays, the zoo, graduations, having a few glasses of wine and everything else in-between. Izabella started swim lessons so she can learn to put her head under water. It's amazing how they will do it for a teacher and not their own dad or mom:) T-ball is still a blast w/ only a few weeks left. I took the girls to the Cincinnati Zoo w/ some moms that I used to work with at Ethicon. They all had a ball. I have attached a few pics from the week.

Some of you have asked what I've been doing in the gym. I'm still doing 45 minutes of cardio in the am and training 5x a week. I am doing 4x20 for legs on Monday and then 4x18 HEAVY for legs on Friday. I'm doing my regular sets of 4x12-15 for all other bodyparts. I'm trying to make a few changes in my butt before September.

The 4 Bears are staying home this weekend. I'm so excited to do NOTHING. We are grilling out tomorrow and I may even have a glass of WINE w/ dinner:)
Thanks to everyone who had sent me e-mails about last weekend. I have to admit I was bummed at first but now I'm just ready to work harder and do it again in September. I'm hoping to make a few changes to my butt and legs by then.
Sorry, but no pictures to post this week-I've been trying to play catch up all week. I did start back w/ cardio & weights on Tuesday. It's so nice to only be doing 45 minutes of cardio and heavy weights w/ smaller reps.

My husband deserves DADDY OF THE YEAR.

He is not only a great dad but an awesome husband.

While I was competing this weekend, he packed the camper and girls up and went camping for 4 days. When I arrived at the campground people were telling me how lucky I am, because there husbands would even dare to adventure out camping w/ 2 young girls. They had a ball! I only have a few pics because I had the camera w/ me.

Izabella got to swim in the pool and lake. She called it the ocean!!! She had to take me in the gold cart to show me the beach:) I'm glad they had fun even though I wish they could of been there w/ me. Rozalee even met a little boyfriend, she was a few month younger but much bigger:) Sh ehas her mommy's appetite...

So sorry, I'm just getting to my blog. It was a long weekend. After the long day of competing, I slept 2 hours and started my 10 hour drive to the campground to be w/ my family. I was so excited to see them. There is no internet there so I couldn't do any updates.

As soon as I get my pics from Isaac, I'll post them on my site. If you ever get the chance to do a photo shoot w/ him-DO IT.

Well, I thought I looked pretty good, I was actually surprised how good I looked but the judges didn't thinks so. They didn't like me at all-but oh well. We all have opinions:) It's always nice to hear from others that they thought you got robbed. It's a game and I know this. No need to get stressed over it, I can't change it. I gave it my all an that's all that matters.

Thanks for Joyce riding w/ me and putting up w/ my hungry butt for 4 days. Thanks for all my cards, e-mails etc.. Thanks for Mike and Lishia keeping an eye on me.

Well, I made it to bed by 9:30pm, got up and attended a meeting then did my own little photo shoot. I also did a photo shoot w/ Isaac Hinds from Hardbody.com. I'll post those in a few days. I just got back from getting my paint on. I sure am getting hungry:) I spoke to the girls and Kenny a little bit ago. They are setting up camp. I can't wait to be w/ them.

I am just excited to be here and I know I have already done WAY more than most of these ladies on stage. Who gets to sign magazines the morning before the Jr. USA's especially when you are on the cover.

I finally made it to South Carolina

Well-where do I start???

We had a T-ball game last night and my friend Joyce spent the night so we could leave early this morning. My dearest husband made sure everything was in his car, oil changed, new tires, cleaned it and surprised me w/ a Good Luck Rose and hid a card above my sun-visor. He is SO sweet. (He decided his car was more dependable than my 99 Explorer. He couldn't come so he is taking the girls camping and then I'm meeting them at the campground on Sunday.

Joyce and I get on the road by 5am planning to arrive at 2pm. We are heading down the road when this "something" hits the car, I check and there is no damage-so we're back on our way. I happen to hear something and glance out the window and see SMOKE coming from the rear of the car. I pull over and have a FLAT TIRE. I get out and start changing it when Joyce sees smoke from across the road (someone threw out a cigarette) and the grass starts on fire. Within minutes, a state trooper pulls up and puts out the fire, then comes to us. I'm staying calm but got grease on my favorite capris-but no biggy. The issue comes when I remember that Kenny specially orders the tires for his car:) I call him and I also call AAA, just in case. The wrecker service gives me a few choices to call to see if I can find a tire-no luck then he thinks of another place-1 mile up the road. I call them and they have the tire and can put it on ASAP. THANK GOD. We get the spare on, drive a mile up the road, get a new tire, I do a little Phat Camp work while I'm waiting and we got on our way. No worries, and no need to stress about it. GOD was watching over us and I just had to laugh.

THEN, I get to my room and Lishia & Mike bring me a beautiful arrangement of flowers from them, Jen and Brian. It was so cool. My rose that Kenny gave me got put into a jug because I want it to last all weekend and didn't have anything to put it in until now.

I just finished a little cardio and I'm heading to BED.

Did I mention that I MADE THE COVER OF PARRILLO MAGAZINE!!!

I received my suit on Monday and the magazines on Tuesday-I'm having a great week. I can't wait to get home and make some Parrillo cupcakes w/ frosting and eat a Peanut Butter Chew and maybe a few other of their bars like a FRENCH TOAST bar for breakfast.... They are waiting for me in the camper-made sure I packed them before I left!!!!! Izabella is also waiting for me to get home because she's not allowed in the cupcakes till I get there....
